The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued a Notification dated 22.10.2019 by which an amendment has been made in the Companies (Appointment & Qualification of the Directors) Rules 2014 whereby a person eligible and willing to be appointed as an Independent Director is required to apply online for inclusion of his name in the data bank maintained by the Institute of Corporate Affairs at Manesar.
